The Latin American Potato Association (ALAP), with the support of the Association of the Community of Highland Producers (ACPTA) and the Institute of Agricultural Research of Panama (IDIAP), carried out the 22 to August 26, 2016, the XXVII Biannual Congress of the Latin American Potato Association (ALAP), meeting that brought together renowned researchers from various parts of the world, producers, entrepreneurs, extensionists, students and other interested parties to know more about potato cultivation.
Almost 30 years ago, Panama had the great honor of carrying out, with great success, the XIII meeting of paper of the region .
As main objective of the ALAP congress, the update of potato technicians, researchers and producers stands out, in the latest technological advances of the cultivation of dad. As well as the exchange of experiences during the work sessions and the Field Day, carried out in the upland area of Cerro Punta, Chiriqui province, 511 km from Panama City.
