The ALAP conference was an excellent opportunity for potato chain in Colombia and in other regions to show its organization and its progress; it was also for the public and private research entities of the host country, Latin America and other regions of the world, who showed their latest scientific results and technical, as well as the transfer strategies and technological application for the users, with which it is expected to respond to the dynamic scenario of potato production sector in Colombia and the region.

The 26th edition of the Latin American Potato Association (ALAP 2014) was held at the Tequendama Hotel in Bogota , Colombia. It was an updating technical meeting that brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, extension agents, producers and interested in potato crop.
